How WOHNALIO handles technical data, contact messages, consent and analytics on the United Kingdom edition.

Essential processing

Hosting systems process technical request data needed to deliver and protect the website. The contact form processes the details a sender chooses to provide, protected by Turnstile, rate limiting and a hidden anti-spam field.

Analytics and consent

Google Analytics is not loaded unless the visitor expressly accepts statistics cookies. Advertising signals remain disabled. Consent can be withdrawn through Cookie settings in the footer.

Purposes and legal bases

Our legitimate interest in secure website operation supports necessary hosting and anti-spam processing. We handle contact messages to answer an enquiry, take requested steps before a contract or fulfil a contract, as applicable. Optional analytics relies on consent. Providing a name is optional; the form needs an email address and message so we can handle the enquiry. You can read the website without sending a message or accepting analytics.

Storage and deletion

Contact messages remain in the mailbox only as long as needed to handle the matter and meet applicable recordkeeping duties or resolve legal claims. We do not maintain a separate database of form submissions. The consent preference remains in this browser’s local storage until it is changed or browser data is cleared. Hosting and analytics providers apply their own service retention settings; the links below explain their processing.

External and commercial links

Selected guides contain labelled Amazon.co.uk affiliate links. Their URL contains our partner identifier, which allows Amazon to attribute qualifying purchases. Opening the link sends your browser to Amazon, where Amazon processes connection data and applies its own cookie and privacy settings. We do not embed Amazon product widgets or load Amazon scripts when you read these guides. See Amazon's Privacy Notice and our affiliate disclosure. We do not sell contact messages or forward enquiries to commercial partners as sales leads.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the applicable law and exceptions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, and object to processing. You can withdraw analytics consent through Cookie settings without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact the publisher above to exercise your rights; any identity check will be proportionate. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office or a competent EU supervisory authority, including LDI Nordrhein-Westfalen at the publisher’s German place of establishment.

International processing

The publisher is established in Germany. Cloudflare and Google may process data internationally, including in the United States. Their Cloudflare data-processing terms, Cloudflare privacy policy and Google information below describe relevant safeguards and recipient arrangements. This site does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about visitors by automated means.

Mailbox provider and repeated submissions

Cloudflare Email Routing forwards WOHNALIO messages to our Gmail mailbox at Google. Google also receives the email data needed to handle the enquiry. Google Ireland Limited generally provides Google services for users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland. See Google’s privacy policy and its international data-transfer information.

Cloudflare uses a hash derived from the email address to limit repeated form submissions to three per minute per identifier. This identifier supports spam prevention and is not used for advertising; the message content is not needed for this limit.

Data-minimising statistics settings

WOHNALIO does not save, submit or measure the ticks in partner checklists. Other pages continue to follow the consent settings described below.

Our analytics configuration sends page addresses without query strings or fragments. For the previous page, it sends only the origin (protocol and host), not the path or search parameters. WOHNALIO does not load the analytics code on search, contact or ongoing-cost-check pages. Preview sites and unpublished country editions are also excluded from these statistics. Cost-check amounts are processed only in the open page memory; the tool does not save or transmit them. Copying and printing are initiated by you. Our own form events do not contain messages, names or email addresses entered into a form.

Travel planning and destination filters

The worldwide travel planner and destination and guide filters process your selections only within the open page. These features do not persist, add to the page address or transmit the country, trip type, duration or filter text to a service. Reloading clears your selections. Page views and subsequent link clicks remain subject to the consent settings and external-link information described here.

A saved statistics opt-in is reused only when it matches the current technical consent version. Otherwise statistics stay disabled until you consent again. A saved refusal remains in effect. Changes are also recognised across open tabs of the same website. Necessary hosting connection data are separate from these statistics settings.
